Most AI replies count as one message — a doubt answered, an answer marked. A long question, or a whole Idea Canvas map (2 messages), counts for more.
Practice, flashcards, the atlas and current affairs are unlimited on every plan, and never touch this.
Your 5-hour allowance starts with your first message and resets 5 hours later. The weekly one works the same way.
Pro only:a question needing today’s news runs a live web look-up, counting as 7 messages — it costs us far more than a normal answer. On Free, Cortex answers from its own knowledge instead.
